Dear Americans I wish to express my joy at the Holy Father’s visit to your country, you must be so excited. I remember reading in a book about Lutheran conversions to Catholicism that when JP2 visited America and said “all those justified by faith in baptism” something something, that was pretty much enough for one Lutheran to convert
If the death of JP2 and the election of B16 caused so many Lutherans to call our church and ask about joining, a live visit by the Pope must do much more for your country - I’m sure many more ppl will find Catholic Answers too. So my point/question being, if you know or hear of any conversions thanks to the Pope’s current visit, please share them here! That’s the best Catholic news there could be! I was greatly impressed also when I read Zenit today:
"when Bush receives the Pope Wednesday at the White House, he will “say to the Holy Father that millions of Americans have been praying for his visit. He will also say to the Holy Father that the nation he will visit is a nation of prayer that welcomes the faithful. He will tell him that the hearts of the American people are open to the Holy Father’s message of hope.”

How beautiful he takes the trip from the perspective of faith - it must be a beautiful time for the whole nation. Except some anti-catholics of course
