You know what, I SO understand that. But truly, I think you should press onward regardless! You are wrestling through the teachings, which is to be applauded. And you are being honest with yourself, and with the Lord, about your struggles. He loves it when we do that! I was confirmed into the Church still struggling with the idea of Purgatory. But I was actively seeking answers and I knew that God would help me as I struggled to learn. He will help you, too! You are on the right path.

Thanks! I didn’t know if it was a sin to receive Communion while having doubts. For some reason, I don’t struggle with the idea of Purgatory, or with God creating the heavens and the earth.

I have anxiety about contacting my priest. We haven’t spoke in 7 years. I owed some KofC dues and I was too anxious to go into church or call. I think he’s mad at me.
You might want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes we project more negative emotions on a person, or we imagine they’re having negative thoughts about us, and it’s absolutely not true. If the issue with the dues bothers you, find a way to make it right. But it’s very very likely that he’s completely forgotten about it.

Sometimes people do that same thing with God. They imagine that he’s angry with them or has lost patience, or is too busy to bother with them. But it’s absolutely not true. God is omnipresent, meaning he is FULLY present everywhere all the time. In a very real sense, he never takes his eyes off you, he hangs on your every word, he stores up your tears in his bottle, he looks on you with absolutely perfect and unconditional love. In a very real sense, every one of us can think of us as his absolute favorite. That’s the image of God I’ve been trying to hang onto over the last few years, and it really really does help my sense of inner peace, and it seems to be good for growing my faith.

I do believe that God created the universe, including the earth.
And after God created the earth, he would have to create male and female life from no life.

By comparison, a virgin birth should be easy because there is already a woman, the only extra thing needed is the male seed. I would imagine it is easier for God to supply the male seed, rather than make a complete man.

Ten percent of life’s problems are created by other people, ninety percent of our problems are how we choose to react. This means that ninety percent of the solution is in your hands, but you have to do something and go.
