Are there any canonized saints who were Protestant that converted to Catholicism. I am coming into the church next Easter from a Protestant background and I want to find some saints that meet this description.

Yes, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is a convert from Anglican. She is created basically with founding Catholic education in the US.

I agree. She’s the first US-born Episcopalian Saint. 🙂

also, Blessed John Henry Newman, a convert from the Church of England.

Many of the saints of the early Church were converts. St. Justin Martyr, for example. St. Constantine. St. Augustine. etc. etc.

They are great example but OP is looking for converts from Protestantism.

How about St Margaret Clitherow? she converted from Anglicanism and was just an ordinary housewife. I chose her as my confirmation saint.

I’ll ditto St Elizabeth Ann Seton. I took her name for my confirmation name when I converted. Her story is very interesting.
