***The CC prohibits such a relarionshipYou are correct; there are some Protestant denominations who frown upon membership in Freemasonry. I don’t know of any mainstream denominations who explicitly prohibit membership. There is major disagreement between the Masons and the various religious bodies over the reasons therefore, but Masons figure that its between the church and their parishioners.
In reply to the OPQ…***
Fallen away catholics are the second largest group in AmericaWHY:shrug:
They lack FAITH that Jesus is LORD and REALLY in the Eucharist
They lack HOPE because they deny the validity of the Sacraments Institued by Christ
They lack Charity feeling that they “are not loved” and therefore they do not need to love
Nearly always they are “Secular Humanist” also called Rationalist. Its only right or wrong if I say so; don’t judge me and I woun’t judge you. They claim to know more and to know better.
As the bible was birthed by Catholics, and written specifically for Catholics [we can know this as there was no other church when it was written] it therefore must apply to Catholics is a MOST SPECIFIC MANNER.
**Heb.6 Verses 4 to 8 **“For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift,[Catholic holy Communion] and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, [Confirmation] and have tasted the goodness of the word of God [Mass] and the powers of the age to come, if they then commit apostasy, since they crucify the Son of God on their own account and hold him up to contempt. For land which has drunk the rain that often falls upon it, and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed; its end is to be burned.” :crying:![]()
