I am sure you will not be happy o hear any bad thing, bad report about Jesus, right or wrong report. But you seem to enjoy the adverse remarks about Muhammad. It is better to refrain as being a christian and claiming love for the enemy, you should refrain from bad remarks.

Now you are trying to downplay an honest man Pollard. he has given his opinion with some research and trouble. Please do not deny or disrespect his decision. Just admit that according to Pollard Muhammad is the number One Greatest man of all times. Thanks.

** I am sorry in as much as it has caused the confusion. I cannot recall but the post was not directed to you. Only the part about the list could be for you. I wanted to say that the first few pages of the book may not be from Pollard himself. That would alter the matter in the favor of the prophet all the more.

The rest of my post was for those who were questioning the credentials of Pollard (Hope you were not one of them). It was a general post not specific for you. I was moved to write (reply) because I saw the reference to the list in your post. That prompted me for the reply. That is all. Please forgive if anything is said against you.**

Be careful with that…there was a time, not that long ago (OK, maybe a hundred years ago) when the WASP ruling class in the USA said the same thing about “those horrid, dirty Southern European CATHOLICS flooding into this country!”

Their attitude led to the institution of quotas in 1921, I believe it was.

I urge you to explore one of the traditional Middle Eastern Christian churches–Melkite or Maronite Catholic or Antiochian Orthodox, for instance.

Sorry for being touchy.

By the way, what I meant by “another ecclesial community” was “one other than your own.” In other words, you should be slow to make negative claims about Christian groups you don’t belong to, and should only do so when sure of your facts. (Admittedly this principle is violated so often by non-Catholics with regard to Catholicism that I can see why Catholics would feel free to play a bit loose with it themselves.)

Technically the Episcopal Church is a branch of the Anglican Communion, not the Church of England. But that’s not really relevant.

At any rate, I did overreact and I’m sorry. The “Episcopalians can believe anything” narrative is so entrenched on this forum (because it contains a good deal of truth, for one thing!) that I wanted to make the most of a case where it can actually be proved wrong. I am in fact not quite surprised but certainly relieved that we are capable of ecclesiastical discipline on occasion (other than that directed against conservative clergy who defy the reigning paradigm!).

Have you ever read the scripture about the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ?

This event is prophetic in many ways. And it is interesting to note that with Jesus - Moses and Elijah also appeared, one at each side of Jesus. One representing the “law” (Islam) and the other representing the the “prophets” (Judaism).

The voice of the Father was heard to say, " This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him."

You want to ignore this passage,…go right ahead and convert to Islam or any other religion other than Catholicism.

The Catholic church is the one true church that Christ intended to exist after His ascesion into heaven and of which He left Peter as its first Pope…263 popes later to Pope Benedict XVI.

Just so you know, …someone told you so.

I’ll be honest here: I don’t know what your stance is on the Episcopalian acceptance of women/gay priests and bishops, contraception, etc is, but i was very relieved to know at least they knew they could not put up with someone who professes to reject Jesus’ divinity and administer communion on two different days of the week.

OH my yes. All men are created equal, except those who are not like us. American history is full of double standards. IT is a part of our shared heritage! I can call you whatever I want, but you can’t say anything about me! 😃 😛 😃 🙂 😉 😛
