my current husband and I have lived like brother and sister from day one.
There should not be a barrier to Holy Communion then.
You simply cannot receive communion or be confirmed
I don’t like that attitude. While we need to be compassionate the reason for not being able to receive Holy Communion or Confirmation relate to the fact that there is objectively grave sin being committed.

This is best discussed with the priest. Just want to say that your previous marriages will not stop you to become Catholic and that’s the most important thing for you now.

Not much I can add except from what you have written, you may have a case for your previous marriages to be annulled and done without contacting either husband. First sounds like simple “error in form” and the second, if there was physical abuse and family members can testify to it, a tribunal may look on that in a certain way. You’ll only find out by contacting a priest or the tribunal itself to get the inquire started.
Peace and good luck.

True. And I didn’t mean to imply otherwise. I was just focusing on one is still welcome to attend mass even if they can’t receive
