Does he want to belong to the One True Church that Jesus founded? Does he want the Truth in the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist?

Does he want the Truth, live with the Truth, and live the Truth?

I would advise you to leave him alone unless he asks you about your beliefs. If he does, be honest with him about the things he’ll be uncomfortable with first. Show him this thread. Tell him about Catholicism being the truth, that Catholicism is the One True Church, and that his own erroneous worship has been in a mere ecclesial community. Tell him that Anglican orders are completely null and utterly void. Tell him that women are not proper matter for ordination. Be sure to tell him all about Mary as Mediatrix of All Graces, about the promises of the Rosary and teach him the Hail, Holy Queen. If he can keep an open mind about these teachings, then he’s probably ready to study and consider conversion. But don’t lie to him.

Quick rundown on the guy: hates modernism, but doesn’t see a reason to become Catholic because he sees denominations as interchangeable (thinking God loves all Christians, which is true, but not in the sense that he means). He is open-minded in the good sense, and he is willing to consider what I say. What should I tell him tomorrow?
Have him watch this…from an Atheist who became Catholic…

I understand that you, as a Catholic, must take that view. No offense taken.

The Church of England, however, maintains a different historical view.
But is this differenct historical view supported by actual events? and it is not a white washing ot make the CofE be correct?

It simply means the CofE takes a different view as to its origins. There is historical evidence for both points-of-view. Anglicans are frequently contrary (with Catholics, but mostly with other Anglicans) about it, but they are not delusional.

I would say that as Catholics tend take a different historical view on, say, the Galileo affair, than does the ranks of irreverent story tellers out there, so do Anglicans regarding how they view their heritage in light of one King Hank.

Every church family has got at least one.
