Allah IS NOT God. He was, is and will never be God worshipped by the Middle Eastern Christians (ie Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanonese and Iraqi).

This is a common myth propagated by Islamists. The truth is there was, is, will never be such thing as “Arab Christian”, yes for 2000 years, right from the 1st century up until the 21st century.

Egyptians Christians were always Copts who descended from the ancient Pharoahs converted from paganism to Christian faith. Both the Coptic Orthodox Church and Coptic Catholic Church for 2000-years have used Coptic not Arabic as their liturgical language.

Syrian, Lebanonese and Iraqi Christians were always Assyrians who converted from paganism to the Christian faith. The Syriac Orthodox Church, Chaldean Catholic Church and Assyrian Church of the East have always used since the 1st century right up until the 21st century, Syriac as their liturgical language, not Arabic nor Kurdish.

Palestinian Christians are Greek Orthodox and Greek Catholic and both use Koine Greek, the natural language of our Lord Jesus as their liturgical language.

Hello Muslim! Is this yet another revisionism from you? By claiming recently Middle Eastern Christians have started to use another word, your expose yourself as a liar.

Middle Eastern Christians right from the 1st century C.E. up until the 21st century C.E. were never Arabs nor will they ever be Arabs. While these Christians are Arabic-speaking they do not worship in Arabic, language of Allah, the Moon Deity. Rather they worship in Coptic, Syriac, Armenian and Greek, the languages of the ancient Byzantine Empire. This is no different from Jewish people who for 2000 years worship in Hebrew rites.

Only Muslims are correctly Arabs for the 1.3 billion Muslims worldwide worship in Arabic rites chanting Allah Akbar. Here in Malaysia, the Malay-majority cannot speak nor understand Arabic, yet they worship in Arabic rites. This is known as chanting.

Middle Eastern Christians chant prayers in Coptic, Syriac, Armenian and Greek. This practise is no different from the pre-Vatican II Roman Catholic Church that used Latin as its liturgical language.

Just my 2 cents. Feel free to give me your reactions, whether positive or negative. What is your opinion on Middle Eastern Christians worshipping in Coptic, Syriac, Armenian and Greek? Do you feel we, Roman Catholics ought to worship in Latin too like the old pre-Vatican II days? As for me, I prefer English 😃

and yes, they use the word Rab instead of Allah in a lot of places… so you are saying there have been no Christian thats “Arab”… oooookayyy

As a Christian Egyptian…ie a Copt, I do not and will not ever refer to myself as Arab. Arabs are not the original decendents of Egypt, they are the Muslims who invaded Egypt. So as a Christian, my origins don’t go back to the invaders, but to the original Egyptians…like the pharaohs.

If you ask me what my origins are I would say Egyptian. If you ask me what my religion is I would say Coptic Christian.

In no manner would I refer to myself as Arab, nor have I ever heard any other Coptic Christian refer to themselves as Arab.

And in regards to using the word “allah” in reference to God…if we are speaking in arabic, then ya we would say Allah, but if we’re speaking in Coptic or English or French or Spanish or Japanese or whatever other langauage in the world then we would use how the word “God” is translated into, we would NOT remain to say “allah”.

If I had a dime for everytime a Muslim uses that “allah” argument.

God Bless,
Elizabeth

Copt/Elizabeth,
Perhaps you could share some stories about persecution of Copts. Some of the Muslims and their allies question whether there are any. They say all is well and copts are treated just wonderfully all the time and that no persecutions ever happen. It’s all just us mean Christians who are maligning the religion of peace. So feel free to chime in.

The Arab conquest of Egypt took place in AD 641. Although the Imperial forces resisted the Arab army under Amr ibn al-As, the majority of the civilian population, having suffered persecution for their differing Christian beliefs, were in the beginning not hostile to the new rulers. Considered “People of the Book”, Christians were allowed to practice their religion, under the protection of the Islamic Shari’a law. This protection stemmed in part from a Hadith of the Prophet (whose Egyptian wife Maria had borne him a son who died in infancy, named Ibrahim) that advised “When you conquer Egypt, be kind to the Copts for they are your proteges and kith and kin” .
  • Arab =someone who speaks Arabic and the claim that there are no Christian who speaks Arabic is ridiculous.

lol, your definition of an Arab is ridiculous. So you believe that an Indian man who speaks French is French? Or a Saudi Arabian man who speaks English is English?

You are mixing up race with language.

His definition of an Arab is not ridiculous. In Rom. Chapter 10 verse 12, our Lord Jesus through His apostle Paul says:

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him.

Logic can tell us when there is no difference between Jew (ie. Semite) and a Greek (ie. Japhethite) this means (1) we descend from common parents Adam and Eve, (2) to be Jew or Greek is about speaking language and when you cease speaking the ethnic language you are no longer Jew or Greek. So, both Jew and Greek are not races but ethnicities.

Yes, I believe so. This is why I hate Arabs as being ex-Muslim I know my childhood and teenage years were ruined praying in Arabic and this has made the Malay people as Arabs and thus, destroying our culture. English can save us for the hell called Arabism.

I ask you what is your definition of “race”? To me, humans are biologically divided into 4 races, Black, Brown, Yellow and Whites. Arabs, Chinese, Jews and Malays are not races but ethnicities meaning cultures. You are called Arab because you speak Arabic and this is an artificially constructed cultural divide.
