Thom18, with all do respect, you need not read the threads, I’d they annoy you. Peace, Brother!

Are you implying that Christ wants COTT (for laypersons)? The apostles were ordained.
All that’s annoying is that people are making new threads when we’ve already given the answers.Thom18, with all do respect, you need not read the threads, I’d they annoy you. Peace, Brother!![]()
Do you think that Mother St Teresa sinned here…My feeling is that touching Communion with my hands is a sinning. I am desecrating the Bread of Life by touching Jesus with my hands.
So you mean to say that the Church was sinning for the first few centuries? My feeling is that touching Communion with my hands is a sinning. I am desecrating the Bread of Life by touching Jesus with my hands.
JoeShlabotnik, you sound like an Evangelical Protestant of the Pentecostal persuasion–it’s all about my FEELINGS!My feeling
Protestants believe in Scripture alone. That is the difference. Both Protestants and Catholics, being people, have feelings, which is why insulting or belittling others is not something either should do. If you read above, it is not an emotional struggle, but a problem of conscience, or at least, that would be the most charitable way to interpret it, you know, that Catechism thing we are supposed to do because of rash judgement.JoeShlabotnik, you sound like an Evangelical Protestant of the Pentecostal persuasion–it’s all about my FEELINGS!
I am NOT trying to shame anyone into doing anything. I am trying to communicate the danger of relying on “feelings” when choosing a course of action. As the issue is one of discipline, and what action one should take among options the Church gives, trying to shame people into doing what their conscience tells them might be wrong is not something we should engage in. This change will hit a few in ways the rest of the lay people cannot relate to.
Good point. You don’t have to go to Communion every week and this outbreak won’t last forever.
Wouldn’t the right thing be to follow the Bishop’s instruction?want to do the right thing.
