At your Sunday Mass for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, was the sequence Laud, O Zion (Lauda Sion) sung or recited?
Lucky. I love Latin. Idk about my home parish but this one didn’t.It was sung in Latin by the choir.
The shorter version was sung by the choir in English. I guess it would have been ok for the whole thing as the singing was pretty good.At our Corpus Christi procession on Thurday, the sequence was sung in Latin. Today, it was sung in English. Both lovely in their own way!
I don’t believe I have ever heard it read or sung. There are only a few masses each year that have a sequence… I don’t understand why some parishes either don’t do it or do the short option. The extra 2 minutes to read it is not the end of the world
This is my experience as well. My parish skipped the Pentecost sequence this year too.I don’t believe I have ever heard it read or sung.
Once again, my parish skipped it.At your Sunday Mass for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, was the sequence Laud, O Zion (Lauda Sion) sung or recited?
