It’s the discerning of the little voice in my head that I am having trouble with. Which one is my voice and which is God’s?
ATECLC, if your scoliosis and differential breast size are related, and your spinal offset continues to worsen because of it, then that malformation is potentially hazardous to your health. If you think that a “mismatch” of your breast sizes is contributing to additional spinal curvature, then there is probably nothing to discern. Get the job done! It’s the discerning of the little voice in my head that I am having trouble with. Which one is my voice and which is God’s?
Many people are born with very light blonde hair that gradually darkens as they age, kind of like how life can cause breasts to sag… Dying their hair would just take them back to what God gave then at birth. You are just justifying what society today has said is ok but it is still really the same. Certain other religions would argue that it is all wrong and it is not shades of grey but black and white.
There really is no difference…You can replace your words to fit bleaching hair as well…
“Fake breasts are fake. You do not have bigger breasts. You have the appearance of having bigger breasts, and you will always know that it isn’t real.
…They do not represent an actual improvement or achievement and thus cannot improve your actual self-esteem without an unhealthy dose of denial.”
Bleached blonde hair “is fake. You do not have” blonde hair. " You have the appearance of having blonde hair, and you will always know that it isn’t real." It does not represent an actual improvement or achievement and thus cannot improve your actual self-esteem without an unhealthy dose of denial.
In addition, it is unhealthy for your hair. It causes breakage.
People may be wanting breast implants after breast feeding or a masectomy to give them what they once were given by God. People never had blonde hair.
Agree. Some never had blonde hair though. Which is evident that they are similar in that sense as well…sometimes both change someone to what one was born with, sometimes both can be purely for vanity. Many people are born with very light blonde hair that gradually darkens as they age, kind of like how life can cause breasts to sag… Dying their hair would just take them back to what God gave then at birth.
No, that’s an unfair generalization of women. Not everything revolves around men. Some women simply want to look and feel normal and proportional for their body type to their OWN eyes. The intent of cosmetic breast implants is to provoke a sexual response from the community and to channel that attention into a hoped-for sense of esteem.
I would assume that the Catholic Church was against it (along with all purely cosmetic surgery).Does Catholic moral theology have anything to say about cosmetic breast implants?
Based on that same logic it would be immoral to restore the sight of someone who lost their vision due to natural causes. Or for that matter to ‘play God’ by performing any life saving procedures.1 And Jesus passing by, saw a man, who was blind from his birth: 2 And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? 3 Jesus answered: Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4
IF God MADE you with big ears, then God alone has the authority to change them.
God made the man blind, and HE gave him back his sight. He gives others miracles through the apostles.
Judgement and sound reason should be applied here. Is it sinful for a woman to wear make up? Perhaps, perhaps not. It depends on the situation and her intent, as it would in all other cases.
The moral law written on our hearts tells us what is right and wrong.
How the heck would anyone today know what kind of figure the Virgin Mary had?It is wrong to have implants as Mary was as flat as a pancake. The estrogen in the combined contraceptive pill can make your breasts bigger as it’s an anabolic steroid. Some men prefer them small in the Catholic Church.
You can’t have it both ways.God does not “give one cancer”.
They build… never mind.Bigger breasts build self esteem? —KCT
