Like I said, I can’t tell anyone what to do. I am not trying to condemn anyone and I am sorry if I came off as harsh or insensitive. I am just saying that you don’t need that new look to make you feel better about yourself. You will feel better about yourself through improving your relationship with the Lord and improving your human relationships.

Fixing crooked teeth is a preemptive strike against problems that can cause later on. If it was purely cosmetic then yes I think you could easily say that was frivolous and vain although most of the time I do not think this is the reason people are getting it done. Fixing teeth might even cost more in that case than breast implants.

I would put fixing crooked teeth at the same level of getting a breast reduction to prevent back problems later in life. Sure nothing is wrong now, but your preventing future medical problems that could be even more costly and dangerous.

Most people fixe crooked teeth on their kids because of looks, plain and simple. Few people consider problems it might cause later on, orthodonists certainly do not focus on this.

That is not my experience at all and if there is an Orthodontist on here I’m sure they could break it all down for you. There are quite a few studies showing the relationship between oral health and a variety of diseases including heart disease
