“… it will be shed for you and for all for the forgiveness of sins.”
Why did Jesus allow Judas to receive?

Thank you very much for bringing in the Mormons to justify your point in the Sacraments and Liturgical section of the CAF.I totally understand that. The same holds true for Mormons. You cannot enter the Temple unless you are a worthy Mormon. It’s the same concept.
My point was that Jesus wants to feed everyone.
Catholic’s rule and precept are not determined by non-Catholics just because they think it should be done according to how they want it to be.
Judas left before Jesus gave Communion to the apostles.“… it will be shed for you and for all for the forgiveness of sins.”

Really? I’m curious, which text are you basing that on?Judas left before Jesus gave Communion to the apostles.
I seem to be wrong on that…John 13: 30 says Judas left after taking the bread and I didn’t see Jesus say the words of Consecration so I thought Judas received plain bread but Luke has Jesus giving the Consecrated bread & wine to the apostles and then saying His betrayer is there.Really? I’m curious, which text are you basing that on?
Yes, I think you’ll find the Gospels saying things a bit differently. There is not one narrative about what happened on that night or in what order things happened. That is very typical.I seem to be wrong on that…John 13: 30 says Judas left after taking the bread and I didn’t see Jesus say the words of Consecration so I thought Judas received plain bread but Luke has Jesus giving the Consecrated bread & wine to the apostles and then saying His betrayer is there.
Catholics and Mormons are very similar in many ways, you know, which is why I brought it into the discussion on closed Sacraments.Thank you very much for bringing in the Mormons to justify your point in the Sacraments and Liturgical section of the CAF.
