But we are telling you, according to Catholic teaching that cannot happen. You do not believe that, fine. But if the Pope is speaking infallibly, then by definition he cannot be proclaiming heresy. An infallible truth cannot be heresy—it is a logical contradiction.

The end.

Well, you sure convinced me. You are a Master Apologist. Well done!
Thank you, you can come kneel down and kiss my ring as soon as you’re ready.

Seriously though, I didn’t want or try to convince you of anything. I just pointed out the question you were asking was absurd to ask a group of devout Catholics - it was nonsensical from a Catholic POV.

All of these responses are assuming the Holy Spirit guide’s the Pope, which of course i do not necessarily believe.
Then you’re questioning in vain. The entire premise of papal infallibility rests on this promise as specifically stated by Jesus Christ himself.

You’re starting from a faulty premise. Many of your statements about your “research” of the Holy Father don’t add up - they sound like the conspiracy folks rather than reputable sources.

If any pope attempted to infallibly define heresy (which is a very different thing than hearsay), we don’t know what would happen; it’s never happened. All we know is that there’s a divine promise that it won’t, and we can presuppose that an attempt would be ill-fated somehow (Would God smite him? Would he become instantly mute? Would it happen and his papacy promptly end only for his pronouncement to be reversed? All speculation, and we’ll probably never find out.)

Hearsay ex-Cathedra? Impossible.
Ex-Cathedra that the right wing internet claims is merely hearsay? Probable.
