could it not be possible that satan does not remember what he did because god doesnt want him to remember? you see i really really want to believe that i am not satan but it is really difficult …could god have wiped out his memory so he does not remember? maybe he does not know who he is? this is very confusing to me.i wish god would put me on the right path.

Tahira: You just plain are not Satan. It would be a good thing if, instead of trying to wrestle with these thoughts yourself, you contacted a priest or some sister to talk to. I think God has already put you on the right path because you came in here. But you need to do more. Call up some parish in your area and ask if you could meet with a priest or a sister or a deacon.

Consider this. The intellects and wills of all angels, including that of Satan, are one and the same thing. They do not want one thing and do another like we do. When they make decisions, it is for all time and they never change their minds because they do not want to change their minds. Here you are, saying you want to be good and all. That, alone, proves you are human, not an angel or a devil.

thanks for your reply, but do you think that satan will be forgiven? do you think it is poddible that god could find mercy for him and forgive him?

As I said in my earlier post (#14 of this thread), Satan is in hell and there is no redemption for those in hell. Redeption is only possible for those who are not in hell.

You, tahira, are not in hell, you are here on earth. While you are still living there is always the hope of redemption. God’s mercy is freely available to you. You just have to ask for it with all your heart.

thank you for your post. i really appreciate it. i hope taht god can forgive me and give me just one more chance by taking away all these horrible things that are happening to me. i do believe in god, and beg him for forgiveness. i hope that he listens to me and gives me just one more chance.

Thanks

Dear Tahira
Maybe! A doctor of the church called Origen did argue that God is so loving that even Satan will be recovered in the fullness of time.
Origen was around about 185 to 254 ad., was laicised on the grounds that he had not been lawfully ordained.A great Scripture scholar who knew Greek and Hebrew, he is greatly admired by Pope Benedict.

Origen, for all his intellectual gifts, is not a Doctor of the Church; he is considered a Father of the Church.
