Where does the Catholic belief that homosexuality is sinful come from?
Over time I have seen doctrines shift among Catholics (e.g. refraining from eating meat on Friday, no longer saying the mass in Latin) as well as among other Christian faiths. One of my underlying curiosities is how permanent is the Catholic belief that homosexuality is evil – for example, could a future pope declare that prior beliefs were in error and from that point onward Catholicism believes that homosexuality is OK.
