The Pope can do away with or bring back any form of the Mass: Ordinary or Extraordinary, High or Low, etc. He has absolute power. But thankfully absolute power dose not corrupt absolutely; he is guided by God the Holy Spirit!

I miss the novus tridentine in greek and latin. We had a bass player who would absolutely shred the Dies Irae. It rocked.

It would be a disaster if the Pope did an immediate elimination of the NO Mass. After all, how many Priests would be able to say the TLM? I remember asking the Parochial Vicar at the parish I attend if we could ever do a TLM and I think his response is that we would first have to find someone who can properly do it.
Remember that I believe most Seminaries teach the NO Mass, so there would be many Priests who would be unfamiliar with how to properly do the TLM (by properly I mean would fully understand the Latin they were saying and understand the symbolism and meaning that is different in the TLM than the NO Mass).

OF = Ordinary Form (New Order of Mass - Novus Ordo Missae)

Actually I wouldn’t be that upset. The Mozarabic Mass is beautiful, and includes more Latin than your typical OF.What if he banished both, and made the Mozarabic Form the standard form!

Actually, the Mozarabic has more Greek, even scattered through the Creed and other places.

It is offered as an elective. one may choose to study Greek. In the states, everyone must pass a Spanish basic proficiency test. As of 6 years ago when I was studying first at one Seminary for philosophy, then another in a different part of the country for the Theologate, it was not a requirement.

Not as stated.
However the Supreme Pontiff has the right and moral obligation to insure that the Sacred Tradition of the Holy Mass is prayed in a manner that it is as Christ intended filled with saving Graces and actually leads us towards savation.
Can he make changes, certainly.

This may very well be answered in a later post but I needed to correct this.
EF = extraordinary Form = the pre-Vat 2 Mass or what many call the Tridentine
OF = ordinary Form = Novus Ordo = new order or (now I am not sure if this is right) The Pauline Form (meaning the name of the Pope who promulgated this Mass)

It may have more Greek than Latin, but it has more Latin than the OF does. I’ve watched quite a few Mozarabic liturgies on youtube, and they always chant the Sanctus in Latin. That right there is more than most OF Masses.
