Could the two witnesses of Revelation 11 be Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI?

The idea just flashed to me about 15 minutes ago as I was up reading Revelation. First, I was wondering if Rev. 9 could have already happened with WWII. Then I was reading about the two witnesses of Revelation 11, and I thought about this especially since they say that the first encyclical, although finalized by Pope Francis, was co-authored by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

 
By the way, I’m only speculating. I’m not claiming this idea to be fact. For all I know, I could be totally wrong.
 
Interesting. But the two witnesses were the Law and the Prophets. Moses and Elijah. They are two olive lampstands. Revelation 11:4. Then Zechariah 4:3. Then 4:11. Then 4:14. Then Matthew 17:3.
 
Gosh I hope not! Did you read what they **did **to the 2 witnesses in Revelations? 😦
 
These threads are getting a little tedious. You realize that people have been doing this stuff for 2,000 years? Yet. It. Never. Happens. The Illinois Lottery thread pattern was where I stopped paying attention.

Then why did you open the thread? This is an open forum for all who have questions, and we are called to be charitable in reply. This is like someone complaining about the content of a TV series and still watching it.

It made me think and reread Revelation 11 this morning.

-To add my voice to the chorus that is suggesting that he/she stop freaking out so much.
-Because others might see his/her post and be tempted to engage in paranoid behavior as well.
