Could you please tell me if it's a sin to marry someone of a different faith?

I have been seeing a wonderful man but the only problem is that he was raised in a household that shared two different faiths. He does not mind that I am Catholic and said he would never expect me to change. He knows I am a devout Catholic. That will change for noone.

Since I am unable to have children, would there be a problem that we do not have the same religious beliefs? He was raised in a muslim/Catholic home ( Father is Arab/muslim & mother is Arab American). He does not practice either but believes in God. Would it be a sin to marry a non Catholic? My family also believes that because he is not completly of the same race as myself, and has an Arab ancestry…it would be a sin. Are they correct or is it just “ignorance”?

Please help. I am so confused. I don’t know whether to end the relationship or if it’s just someone’s prejudicism talking. I don’t judge by race or color like my family & community.

Thank you & God Bless.
