Just asking for some prayer this morning. DH called and his car is sitting dead in the driveway. He had to call in to be able to get it towed to our mechanic in the next town.

We’ve had this 2000 Alero since it came off the line, and although it’s a good car overall, DH puts over 120 miles on it PER DAY! so it really has the miles. it has been giving us minor problems over the past couple years and we’ve been able to repair it for a fairly small sum.

We truly cannot afford a new car right now. although we make a good income, we have massive debt and are barely making it.

please pray for us. today is just another hurdle. i feel as if anything that can go wrong somehow finds it’s way to us.

the good news is that we will be inheriting some money in the spring and hopefully that will help wipe out a good amount of our debt plus give us a small down payment for a newish car for DH. Please pray for us. Please. thanks-twk

Hi, I hope that things brighten with this new year, even before July when you receive the inheritance. Hopefull the mechanic can reapir the car to last until then.
I ask the Lord to help you through your present difficulties!

Prayers for your situation.

Car repairs are not fun. Do you have a car yourself that you could both share until spring maybe? DH and I have done that before. It’s not easy but we were able to make it work. Or maybe are you expecting a tax refund this year? If you e-file with direct deposit, you can have your $$ within a week or two. Maybe if you get enough out of that you could buy something used. I know car dealers are giving really good deals right now. DH said his work is practically giving cars away just to get units moving. They’re desperate and that can work to your advantage.

Hope something works out for you. :gopray2:

no, sharing is not an option. we are a commuting family. we live in town A. i drive south to drop off DD at school the next town over and then go even further south to work. DH leaves 20 mintues before us to head far north to work there. we ARE hoping that our tax refund along with a bit of our inheritance will give us enough to make a good down payment on something newish so that our monthly payments will be very minimal. we also get a GM discount from my dad so in the end, we may be able to buy new which will save us from these sorts of repair headaches for a while. thanks for prayer-twk
