Learned the catechism
He learned his catechism well – and others, including his mother, suggested that he consider becoming a priest. “No, way,” he would say furiously.
Something was missing
He went to college and then began working. But something was missing from his life.
Read the whole story of Fr. Matthew on the website of the Order of the Blessed Virgin of Mary, at orderofmercy.org/2011/04/the-pieces-of-a-puzzle-lead-to-a-vocation/.
