NOTTINGHAM, England (Catholic Online) - Christian Concerns, a public interest legal group in England, reported on a disturbing Court ruling in an article entitled “High Court Judgment Suggests Christian beliefs Harmful to Children”. A Protestant Pentecostal couple has been disqualified from being foster parents, in effect, because they are Christians.

The basis for this is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is a horrible document that takes government intervention WAY to far. According to it Children have the right to Freedom of Religon and parents cannot make them go to church or do anything other than advise them on religon. There are several groups trying to fight this treaty being ratified in the US. You can check out their website here: parentalrights.org/

Also England seems to take government intervention way too far in general. Do a little research on their Social Services program and you find Families ripped apart for no reason kids taken away for little or no reason, and parents fleeing the country to protect their kids. It’s frightening. Couple that with decisions like the one above, and the recent admissions from their Nationalized Health Care system to advise that abortions are safer than live births and that no efforts should be made to save babies born under 23 weeks because it’s too expensive and they probably won’t lead productive lifes anyway (which is untrue as most can be saved and do live completely normal lives), one wonders why ANYONE would want to have a kid in England.

Funny thing is that unless a society or culture reproduces at a rate of about 2.11 kids per woman it cannot even survive let alone grow. If you make it difficult for people to have and raise families, they won’t and your culture or society will cease to exist. It’s called cultural suicide and many of the European Nations are way under the numbers needed to replace the older generations. If the numbers drop too low a society cannot recover even if they try. A rate of 1.9 has never been reversed in history, and a rate of 1.3 is impossible to come back from. Great Britain is at 1.82. Maybe they should encourage parents rather than scare them and tell them having children is hazardous to your health.

Examples, please?

I won’t deny that the US has it’s fair saher of Social Services BS that should be stopped too. And we are slowly moving towards too much governement intervention in families as well.
