You have the right idea about the candles, they are to help us focus with our prayer life. They themselves are not the means to and end, merely a helper along the way, like photos of family menbers ti remind us what they look like. Good luck, and only use things you feel comfortable using.

I will pray for you guys.

Lord, please help this family in their time of need and be with them every step of the way. Through Jesus’ name, Amen

Thank you, everyone. I bought a Jesus candle, a Mary candle (sinse this issue is centering around my baby boy) and a candle with and angel guarding children on it. I lit them and keep them lit in a safe place in my bed room. I always hear about Catholics lighting candles and while I may not have done it right, it gives me something visual to focus on. Any thoughts about what I can do will be accepted as well. Thanks again, everyone. I really appreciate it.
I know what you must be going through. My sister has been in and out of court for the last two years to get help for her children when they go to her ex who abuses them. She has to go to court to get her ex to pay child support all the time and half of the medical bills. It is very draining, but through it all I must say that she has become closer to our Lord. She was a Catholic before and still is, but now she has a personal closer to Jesus that she did not have before. She falls at times, especially if she loses in court or if nothing got done, but she picks herself up again and keeps focusing on the will of God.

I am not sure if you have a custody battle, but if you do, it could go on for some time. It sounds like it has already from what you said. I will pray for you to get your courage and strength from Jesus and that Our Blessed Mother and her mother, St. Anne, pray on your behalf to Jesus. Don’t give up, but it could take time to get the answer you want if it is in accordance with the will of God. One thing I have learned is that God will answer prayers with a yes, no or not yet. I am hoping for my niece and nephew’s sake that the answer now is “not yet” but that some day He will protect these innocent children. My sister and I have to trust that He knows best and can see the future where we can’t.

Keep praying and the candles will help you see the real Light of the World, Jesus. You will be in my prayers. My sister goes to court to suspend her ex’s visitation with her kids on Sept. 6th, if you can keep her in your prayers as well. Her name is Norma. I have a thread in the the prayer intention section calling all prayer warriors to pray for the kids go on visitation. Something like that if you want to check it out. Our mess is a big mess, but we have hope in the Lord to resolve this soon.
