Please keep me and my family in your prayers.
I filed for separate maintenance from my abusive husband.
I’ve been dealing with very serious health issues the past 6 years or so(cancer, issues with a neurologist).
Recently I’ve had to go on short term disability, and he’s refused to give me any money for my medicine, copays, even gas to get to the doctor.
I found out he’s been hoarding $ for years, while I worked full time during chemo, etc.
Now, he’s commenced a smear campaign against me, and has been removing assets from the home.
I pray for him daily, but have no way to pay my doctor bills, He refuses to try to salvage the relationship.
This has been very hard for me, as it not only affects me, but our children and the rest of the family.
I have done absolutely nothing to deserve this, always just tried to make things nice for everyone.
He stopped going to Mass, and shows absolutely no remorse.

Take care and listen to your attorney if you have one. If not, tell your thing, omit no detail and don’t allow anyone to provoke you into anger or make it look like you aren’t sure of what you’re saying. Be brave and all. 🙂

Prayers for you, especially to Saints Monica and Rita of Cascia, who both had extremely difficult marriages like yours.

Courts often have support staff available who have specialised training in helping people in your situation. If you haven’t already done so, find out and make use of them. The courts I work in also have a chaplain service (Salvation Army rather than Catholic, but good, dedicated, experienced people).

thank you for your support and prayers.
I was able to get temporary spousal support until everything else is final, enough to be able to get my medicine and to my doctors appointments at least.
Please keep me and my family in your prayers, especially for our safety, as I know he’s sick and don’t think there’s anything he won’t stoop to.
I believe in the power of prayer, and put my trust in the Lord.

God bless, you are in my prayers! Good luck in court, may justice be done! I am so sorry you are going through this, sounds like my exhusband, gotta go to court in Jan to either lower or remove child support, we have 3 children together and he’s been fighting to not pay child support since we first got divorced! 😦 It’s not as horrible as your situation, but believe me with a 17 grand yearly income and 3 children child support is desperately needed! I hope things go well! Take care, hang in there, keep fighting and don’t lose hope! Pray and give GOD all your problems!

I finally did that yesterday after breaking down for almost the entire week, I finally remembered to just talk to Him and let Him know how I was feeling and pray to Him and let Him know my needs…I had a hard time getting up this morning but I thank GOD He gave me the strength needed and I am hanging in there, cramping is minimum, mood is a little better today, and I am not weeping my eyes out again! He will be there with you and will make sure things go well for you! Don’t lose hope and don’t stop praying! GOD BLESS!

I pray for you eanestly. What terrible crosses to bear. 😦

If you don’t have an attorney, then try to find one. If you have no money, some attorneys will take cases “pro bono” (for the good; ie. free). If you live in a city with a law school, some law schools have student attorney programs where you can get free representation.
