A while back my husband and I watched the Scott Hahn series on the scripture. I remember that he talked a lot about specific covenants between God and Israel, and later the new covenant in the NT. Can anyone specifically list (and give biblical references) for what these specific covenants were (and where they are in the Bible)? I used to have the handout for this and lost it.

Thanks

Hi Snowflake!

You will find what you are looking for here: salvationhistory.com/studies/courses/online

This is Scott Hahn’s online bible study course. I would recommend reading through the course *Genesis to Jesus *. It is a study of each of the covenants of the Old Testament leading into the new covenants of the New Testament. He ties them in wonderfully. Registration is free for the online courses. I highly recommend them!!

He typically lists them in terms of expanding concentric circles whereby the covenant continually embraces more and more people:
  • Adam (Couple)
  • Noah (Family)
  • Abraham (Tribe)
  • Moses (Nation)
  • David (Kingdom)
  • Jesus (Church)
