Covenant with Abraham and Females

We all know that in Christianity, infant baptism is the new covenant for all, replacing circumcision, however, since circumcision was only practiced on males, how were females under the covenant, or, because you’re considered Jewish if your mom is, that’s how females were under the covenant?

The sign of circumcision in the Old Testament did not need to be applied to females primarily because the sign was given to set Israel apart from its pagan neighbors. As men in the Old Testament were the representatives of the family unit, the women did not need any specific sign because they were set apart by virtue of their father representing them before God in the covenant. This changes with baptism because it is not given to set people apart along ethnic lines, but along the line of faith vs. unbelief. So the sign is now universal.
