I’ve gotten to the point in my spiritual life where I think I’ve ‘cracked’. I don’t care anymore about what others accuse us Catholic Christians of, how they accuse us of saint worship, of idoltry, of satanic rituals, of taking God’s Name in vain, of slaughter, of forced conversions, of rape, of pedophilia, of conspiracies, of injustice, of homophobia, of keeping secrets, of multiple and hard rules, and of many other things. I also don’t care anymore about what others accuse Jesus of, how they accuse Him of witchcraft, of dishonoring the Sabbath, of blasphemy, of murder, of adultery, of going to India, of leaving the Church, of insanity, of lying, of demonic possession, of contradictions and evil teachings, of the Church putting words in His mouth and misinterpeting His sayings. I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve realized that whenever someone accuses me or my brethern or my Lord of something that is not true, I’ll know they’re ignorant of the matter, and so, they’re just a resounding gong.
But, because ‘instruct the ignorant’ is a work of love and mercy, I will still do my best to correct others, as charitably and paitently as I possibly can, by the grace of God.
