Ever since I was five, I’ve been wanting to go to Kenya (only way I can explain why is because my kindergarten teacher taught me a bit of Swahili and told us a bit about it.) This desire was fueled by two friends of mine who studied in Kenya and told me so much about it. One of these friends is in another country in Africa (volunteering) and two friends and I have talked about visiting him.
Well, here’s part of it. I’m going to be living in Italy for four months next year and one of these friends has wanted to come visit me (she’s lived there before) and go sightseeing, then take a week to visit our friend south of the Mediterranean. Well, she doesn’t know if she could do it, but she said to me, “K, you’ve been wanting to go to Kenya for forever. After Italy is done, why don’t you stopover there on the way to visit (mystery friend), since you’ll have to stopover there anyway?”
Of course, I was just like, “You’re amazing! That is BRILLIANT!” Obviously, I wouldn’t go alone and of course, I’ll save up a ton for it, but if I can do it, it would be amazing.
If anyone has advice, I’d appreciate it
Also, as I’ll probably have dual citizenship, if I go after I’m done in Italy, should I travel on my US passport or Italian passport?
