Crazy Pregnancy Symptoms

I know there’s all of the normal symptoms but has anybody (or your wives) developed any crazy or unusual symptoms?

I have to say I have the best pregnancy symptom…I laugh like crazy! I find everything ridiculously funny and end up in tears laughing mutliple times a day!! It’s so funny when I do it, my husband thinks he’s all of a sudden developed the best sense of humor! Anybody else get this symptom?lol!

Fake Symptom that I thought was real: Elbows turn black.

I am not 36 weeks pregnant but somewhere around the 24 week mark my elbows turned black. It was gross and it made me sad. I thought surely this is not my skin and I scrubbed and scrubbed with soap in the shower to no avail. I looked it up and there were plenty of articles on the internet talking about darkening skin in places such as your armpits and elbows. They went on to explain the hormonal changes and that it was more common in women who are dark skinned. It would be a bit of a stretch to call me dark-skinned. I am ghostly pale but I had these black elbows.

So after three days of black elbows I was taking off my eyemakup with some makeup remover and staring sadly at my still very black elbows. I slowly moved the cotton ball from my eye to my elbow and sure enough it started coming off. My mom bought me a new black sweater and my elbows were just as dry if not dryer than the rest of my skin. The dye from the sweater had leached into my skin and no amount of soap would wash it off. It took three days of sadness over my black elbows and a little makeup remover to solve the mystery.

What are the odds? This strange thing happens and for some people it is a real symptom but for me it was totally fake.

Not exactly “crazy”, but I’m HOT. All the time. It just seems crazy to me because I’ve always been “cold blooded” and now I am decidedly not. Basically since the moment of conception. My poor husband…all bundled up in July!

My “weird” symptom was that I craved bagels with cream cheese. Why was that weird? Because I had never eaten bagels with cream cheese before. I didn’t know what it tasted like, but I knew that I wanted them REALLY bad.

What I’m struggling with now is that I get all my classic pregnancy symptoms once every 6 weeks or so … only to start my period within a couple weeks. I would love to have another baby, but my hormones are so out of whack that I regularly feel pregnant when I’m not.

No.Never! Too busy with my head down the toilet the entire time to find anything funny!

Does a continued overwhelming desire to listen to Willie Nelson count as a symptom? This symptom has hit me really hard in the third trimeseter.

It’s amazing how hormones have such a change on our bodies!!

My laughing is getting out of hand… It turns into crying… And then I’m exhausted!! Happen about 5 times today!! So odd!

Oh you make me laugh! I mean I keep the air conditioner as cool as can be…as far as HOT as you took it goes, we’re still newlyweds, so we’re HOT in that way too!
