I know this seems like an odd question, but if your body is cremated, can you arrange to have the ashes left at Church? Wouldn’t it be beautiful to have your human remains always in the presence of the Eucharist?
Honestly, why not turn some of the basement space underneath a Church into a respository for cremated remains? I was thinking the other day how some people want their ashes scattered here, there and everywhere or left with certain relatives…but I was thinking the only place I would want my cremated remains left is in a Church.
I know it seems like an odd question and maybe it is an honor only reserved for the highest saints-if you think about it their remains have been left in Church and near the tabernacle until the Day of Resurrection. (Of course, it is their uncreamated remains) What an incredible blessing!
