I’m confused…how does crossdressing relieve stress? Is it because women’s clothes are silky or feel better?

I’ve never met anyone who crossdressed before so I’m having a hard time understanding this.
You need to learn how to understand the intangables of life. Not everything can be explanined not everything is objective.

Cross-dressing (from compulsion) is DEFINATELY a sin. I should know. I have been plagued by this vice for all my adult life. I am sick of it. It is demonic. There is a clear erotic element to this sin, and therefore it is mortally sinful.

St Thomas Aquinas addressed this… he said [paraphrasing] that wearing the attire of the opposite sex arouses sexual feelings in some people and therefore it is sinful to do so.

The devil will use ANYTHING he can to make you turn from God. Some men can dress up for a pantomime and feel stupid. The case can be made that such people are not sinning against purity, as it is never an occasion of sin for them.

However, the person who has a compulsion to cross-dress, does so for some sort of thinly disguised sexual release. In such cases, cross-dressing is a type of pornography. It is an occasion of mortal sin, and therefore must be avoided like any other occasion.

It is not a harmless vice. It falls basically under the category of “masturbation”.

One solution is to find good hobbies that one can do to enjoy recreation time; to avoid wireless internet, laptops etc.; to reduce time-alone; to say the daily Rosary and frequent confession persistently.
Do yourself a favor–accept who you are. I’ve been through what you’re going through, and trust me, trying to suppress this will only bring you pain and misery. That goes for all the rest of you out there who are reading this. If being a crossdresser is a sin, then why did God make you one?

Thanks for the quote. But that brings me to another question> It is acceptable for women to wear more and more masculine types of clothing. I haven’t heard the church make an issue of that.If it is asin/mental disorder for men, wouldn’t wearing men’s clothing as a woman be a mental disorder as well? What do you guys think?
I believe that women dressing like men IS a serious problem and a disorder in society. One need only look at Mary to see how women should dress. Men and women are different and their clothing should reflect that.

Your husband is a strong man. The powers of darkness unable to possess him are persuading him through a multi pronged attack to deface his ego through a demonic process called ‘Maya’. He may perceive problems in sleep habits, work and family life.
The issue is not the wearing of the clothes, but how he and all who laughed at him felt. For this reason it is advisable for **him and all who laughed **at him to make a solemn confession preferably to a redemptorist priest engaged in psychiatric social work. You may also seek counsel from a deliverance ministry.

Unchecked the consequences are serious, especially if hit hard by job, family or personal loss. The condition will degenerate into mortal sin.

HEY

THREAD

Just because your moms sisters cousins dogwalkers brother got a sexy thrill outta this doesn’t mean EVERY man does. YOU don’t know what’s going on in his head, YOU don’t know him, so how do you KNOW he doens’t simply think these clothes are niceand enjoys the way they feel? Gto the earlier posts about how NO ONE wears those kinds of clothes to relax? you’re wrong. I’d rather be wearing a full corsetted ballgown than aaanything else. I would never EVER be caught dead ANYwhere in a t shirt and sweats. They’re ugly as hell. so yes, maybe he simply DOES find women’s clothing a non sexual, vusually appealing way to spend an evening. Big effing deal.

I would suggest that your husband get some psychiatric help. Is it possible that maybe he has gender identity disorder or something?
