Haven’t been following this, but this strikes me as classy on his part and wise on CRS’ part. It would be wrong to tar and feather him.

They get their ‘professional’ title by toeing the party line …not by doing much thinking for themselves. Rock the boat in medicine or science and you are at once branded a quack.

You get the same dull compliance in most so-called professions. It is not a coincidence how most teachers, psychiatrists and policemen do not consider homosexuality to be a disorder either. For most of them would have already considered the consequences of dissent.

So this “dull compliance” only happens in most “so-called professions”? What would happen to Catholic clergy (priests, bishops, cardinals) who rocked the boat and dissented from official Catholic doctrine on this issue? I suppose that there wouldn’t be any consequences for their dissent?

Well it seems to me that more Orthodox a priest is gets him into hotter water than many with a more heterodox view. For instance the Priest in Australia, Peter Kennedy I think his name was, was in his parish for a couple decades creating all kind of scandal before he was finally removed. Lets not mention the countless sex abuse victims the many deviant homosexual priests throughout the last few decades.

They all seemed to dissent against Catholic doctrine and lasted quite a while without getting pushed out.
