Hello,
A family friend of mine recently visited the holy land and bought me a few gifts. However one was a wooden carved crucifix but the person on the cross seems to be upside down. Does this symbolise something or should I get rid of it?

Although it is not mentioned in the Bible, tradition holds that St. Peter was executed by crucifixion upside-down, a penalty he himself requested, since he did not feel worthy to die in the same way that Jesus did. Your cross is probably not depicting the crucifixion of Jesus, but is meant to be a representation of St. Peter.

That was my first thought too.
