For those of you who have been following my posts and praying for my intentions, I want to thank you more than you know! I know the hands of God are working in my life…I’m just a little unsure how.
My dad went back to his pulmonologist for shortness of breath and it turns out the x-ray showed a large pleural effusion in his lungs. The Intervention Radiologist then pulled off 1.3 Liters of fluid!!! The fluid was biopsied and showed no cancer cells, although the fluid was thick and blood tinged. (Back in October, he had a thoracotomy of his left upper lobe and his stage one adenocarcinoma was completely caught. Extensive testing showed no lymph node involvement.)
Now they have found four tiny areas in the left lower lobe pleural space that are fluorescing brightly on his latest PET scan. They are saying it is a stage four cancer and inoperable! The pulmonologist says he is “puzzled”. We have an appointment with a reputable oncologist tomorrow and I am just praying that this is some kind of mistake. Fortunately, my oldest sister is a cancer research nurse manager and knows all the right questions to ask. I am so grateful for that!
On the other hand, I will hopefully find out this week if I got the job. I have had to jump through many hoops, but I am “pretty sure” they will present me a formal offer if it is God’s will.
Life right now is surreal. So much change right now. Please pray that I handle these changes with grace.
Sincerely,
