Crying after confession

I can’t say I’ve felt depression after a confession, but I have cried. And I have had stages were I have cried in church, depending on my emotions. I’ve come to realise that my sorrow/tears may not have been related to sadness all the time, some I believe were tears of Joy.
You may have experienced relief?

I guess this may be from God’s Love to you? I have had the similar experience as you, my tears also came out during the confession. At that time I felt I really regretted for doing that, but God still forgive you!! I had a strong feeling of being Forgiven and being Loved.

Is this the same to you? God’s Love will touch your heart, which makes you cry.

My sense of feeling after the particular confession and crying was freedom. I felt free and I think this freedom feeling could well be Gods love pouring out.
