I didn’t know where else to post this question but here goes.

How did the Church deal with the crisis? Did Pope John XXIII have any talks with Kennedy, Khrushchev or Castro?

The only info I found was from a film titled Thirteen Days in which a scene showed a Church with a sign that said “24 hour confessions. Pray for peace”
