It is definitely beneficial to the human body.

The human body is intrinsic to the person.

So it is beneficial to the person. QED.
No, it’s not.

Crucifixion not good for the body. Great for the person. Faustina’s tuberculosis, awful for her body, of huge benefit to her personally. The Little Flower. Padre Pio to benefit, acquired that which was not good for his body. Saint Francis sought out the abuse of the body to benefit his person.

For the sake of argument, and assuming that everything works as planned, unless you change your life to a radically more cautious daily routine, the average maximum lifespan would be about 1500 years. Accidents will be the bane of their existence for those who would be “immortal”.

I believe this computation was done by actuaries based on standard accident insurance tables.

Sorry, I don’t have a source, but I’ve known of it for several years now.

Ha, Ha, I think God will have the last laugh.
Say, the Chinese have a great solution, of course it is only available to their important people. If they need a body part, they just find someone in the gulog with the appropriate part and take it. That is definitely one country where you want to stay out of jail!!!:eek:

Any secular person will unconditionally support this. However, God’s wisdom speaks differently:

“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” (Luke 9:24)

*“A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.”
  • (Ecclesiastes 7:1)
Remember, at some point, eternal life via Messianic resurrection will come to pass, and those who are still breathing when that happens will be alive forever. They’d get to miss the whole death thing altogether. I’d call that the ultimate benefit.
Again, the Bible says, that the ultimate benefit is to be executed for His name:

“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4).

Do you believe that when God had reduced man’s lifetime it was not beneficial for us?

Agreed. 1500 years is nothing to God. 1500 years is also a chance to get yourself really really steeped in sin. Imagine being young for 1500 years and having all of that emotional excess and all of the temptations of youth, the probability is that pretty much nobody would be going to heaven . . .

Your natural body would not withstand 1500 years of “youth” with it’s growth spurts, reckless behavior, storms of hormones, etc. A 1500 year “middle age” is far more likely.

That is a real good point. And if you look at the news coming from Catholic sources on the " relative " attitude of most Catholics toward the Church’s moral teaching, it sounds like Heaven will be sparcely populated - unless God’s mercy far surpasses his justice.?
We really are pitiful aren’t we? Even if we accept these teachings, we fall so short in practice that we must hope that God’s mercy is greater than his justice. 🤷🤷
