Curious: Church's position on Audrey Marie Santo?

[The_Reginator]

Tonight, for the first time in my life, I heard of ‘Little Audrey’. (I live under a bushel.)
I only skimmed the Wiki article.
Has the Church made any ‘official’ statement???

Just askin’.

This from the wiki article jumped out at me:

many pilgrims … were praying to Audrey while she was still alive

People were actually praying to someone other than God or through a saint? I’m shocked.
