Is it just me, or does anyone see this peripherally and think it’s Curious George?
Now I do.Is it just me, or does anyone see this peripherally and think it’s Curious George?
Indeed. Not sure how I missed it, or how I can stop now…Now I do.
Now that I’ve seen it, I can’t un-see it.
Curious George confuses children? How so? Lots of children’s books and movies have animals as characters. I think you are putting too much thought into a silly children’s book series.CG is awfull, present a monkey like if it was a child. Confusing childrens. Darwinism. Worship of animals, on his way.
I bet my left toenail and my right one that Rayon is just joking.Curious George confuses children? How so? Lots of children’s books and movies have animals as characters. I think you are putting too much thought into a silly children’s book series.

I hope so, but you never know.I bet my left toenail and my right one that Rayon is just joking.![]()
I know at least one mother who won’t let her son watch it or read the books, because at one point the title character lies.I do not agree with this assessment, and wish to unsubscribe from your newsletter forthwith.
Curious George is awesome.
Curious Speedracer? It always reminded me of Speed Racer. But I can see Curious George in there, too.![]()
Hey, you’re right! All these years of watching Curious George I never noticed…It always annoyed me that they called him a monkey. Curious George does not have a tail, and is clearly some variety of ape.![]()
Heh…you know, based on his general look, the the way he moves and his vocalizations, I’d say George is a young brown gorilla.I know at least one mother who won’t let her son watch it or read the books, because at one point the title character lies.

That said, I did enjoy the books, and the TV series was alright for younger kids.![]()
Baby gorillas are so cute! Aww. Look at that face! Then they grow up to be King Kong. LOL.Heh…you know, based on his general look, the the way he moves and his vocalizations, I’d say George is a young brown gorilla.

So I probably shouldn’t mention the FedEx arrow? Now I do.
Now that I’ve seen it, I can’t un-see it.
It annoys me as well. But I have the answer as to why he’s called a monkey. When the book was first written all monkeys, prosimians (think lemurs), and apes were all called monkeys. It wasn’t for a few more years that the scientific community decided to break it down more.It always annoyed me that they called him a monkey. Curious George does not have a tail, and is clearly some variety of ape.
