I have a cousin, a few years older than me (I’m 25). She’s married, has two kids, very involved in her Pentacostal Church (the rest of our family is Southern Baptist, with she and I leaving for different paths of faith, so we’re the black sheep of the family if you will).
But lately, she has been asking questions about Catholicism. Not in an argumentative spirit or anything, but wondering why we pray to saints, why we confess to a priest, and was Mary REALLY a virgin?
I think I gave her a satisfactory explanation, and printed off material from catholic.com and scripturecatholic.com to explain the positions.
That was about a week ago. Haven’t heard from her (she’s a 1st-grade teacher, so understandably busy). My question is, how and when should i broach the subject when I see her again? Would like to try to follow up and see what she thought after reading really good “evidence.” I just don’t want to look too pushy (told her initially that I “am not trying to convert you to Catholicism, although if you did that would be great!”).
