Current Celebration vs the Votive Mass

A Red Mass (Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit which is said on the start of the academic year) will happen in my school on Friday, July 3. Since July 3 is the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, will the Mass for the feast trump the usual votive Mass?

That’s a choice for the priest celebrant to make.

If there is a serious reason to use the Votive Mass, it is possible for him to do it.
