"Curse of Chucky"

Has anyone on CAF seen this movie besides myself? Believe it or not, I haven’t seen the original Child’s Play all the way through.
 
I can’t watch Chucky or Nightmare on Elm street. Give me Michael Myers or Jason all day, I cannot handle that doll or Freddy Kruger. lol.
 
I watched the first Chucky movie, I think it was called, “Child’s Play,” back in the 80s. I was living alone in my own apartment and I couldn’t watch the entire movie. That doll terrified me! Then years later I was scrolling through the channels and watched a few minutes of one of the Chucky movies where he finds a bride. She’s even worse than Chucky. Something about freaky looking evil dolls running around waving butcher knives really creeps me out. No thank you.

I was telling my girlfriend that the chunky from the late 80s was good if you liked scary movies. I haven’t seen the most recent ones. But my aunt said she saw it and she was disturbed.

Whoa, there.:mad: You and your aunt are entitled to your preferences, but you don’t have to be putting down those with a little meat on the bones. . . . . just sayin’.

Hey, just for the record im not bashing the chucky movies all together. I didn’t see the bride of chucky but from what I heard, and how chucky and his female doll were making love and they were showing it, not really made for tv.
 
Personally I prefer supernatural scary movies to the slice and dice violence that passes for horror now days. I think they are just more excuses to glorify immoral sexuality and violence which explains their popularity. Sex and violence sells every time.

Give me a supernatural scary movie any day like Poltergeist or any Lovecraft and I will be satisfied.
 
I saw it and it seemed ok at first. It appeared as if they were trying to go back as the original one, they even made a couple of references, but the ending what just bad! My opinion it’s not worth the watch. The original one is the scariest and only good one. If you want a scare watch the original one, or any ghost/Asian horror movies.

Child’s Play was ok, Child’s Play 3 was a good sequel, but the rest are terrible films, including Child’s Play 2.
