No, not at all, but I want a silver Crucifix and beads for the Our Fathers. It is pretty, though.

I have several, including maybe 5 or 6 I got from my mom after she passed away, that are packed away.
My rosary that I use and love the most, though, is one with clear, faceted, 6mm AB beads with a silver Virgin Mother as the centerpiece and a silver Crucifix.

I have semi-numb fingers and the bead size on this rosary plus the fact that they’re faceted rather than smooth, is kind of uncomfortable. I’m looking for a rosary where the beads are easier to grasp and where my fingers glide from bead to bead.

I’m thinking about possibly buying the paracord rosary but haven’t decided yet… If I do, I’ll have them make it with either the purple cord or pink/black. Probably purple. I want it to look feminine.

Say you’re 20 years old. You get a nice plain $10 rosary. It lasts 2 years (if you’re lucky) and breaks. You buy another. over the next 40 years or so, you’ve shelled out probably $200 for twenty $10 rosaries (and wait until you have kids, then you’ll be lucky if a rosary lasts 6 months).

OR say at 20 you go for the ‘unbreakable rosary’ that is say $150. Over 40 years, and then another 40 perhaps, it never breaks. You’ve spent the same money, in total, or perhaps somewhat less depending on your life expectancy and potential breakage, for an unbreakable rosary. Seems like a fair deal.

I know they make custom made Rosaries, but you’ll probably want to contact them, to give them your specifications.
They also make “unbreakable” Rosaries, that really hold up. My mom has one, and she really likes it. it has a beautiful crucifix.
 
They could probably do that. They’re a small company and easy to work with.
 
I once asked someone if they knew where I could get a really tough almost military level indestructible rosery I could carry in my pocket when i worked construction.

Never found one 😦
 
My new rosary will cost more than I planned on spending, but it’s about what one would expect to pay for a custom, handmade rosary, plus I’ll be helping the Sisters.
 
EDIT: I haven’t been able to find anything off with them, so what I heard was probably just a rumor.

I ordered a rosary with 8mm Hail Mary beads made of Riverstone and Antique Silver Our Father beads (they are fancy silver beads), Silver Crucifix and a Silver centerpiece of a Miraculous Medal, plus a side medal of St. Jude that will dangle.

The Sisters were sweet to work with, as we’ve been going back and forth in email about the size of beads I want (8mm isn’t offered on their website), and I changed my mind from wanting Picture Jasper beads to Riverstone beads instead.

Their website is difficult to order from and I needed DHs help. He’s more tech savvy than I am but it even took him 45 minutes or longer to order.

The Sister who emailed me said it will take 3-4 weeks for them to order the parts and make my rosary.
I’m sooooo looking forward to seeing it for the first time!

There’s a whole section on the website dedicated to girls though, with rosaries that are more feminine in color choice. They’re definitely not as feminine as a lot of other rosaries I’ve seen, but I think they’re still pretty.

I didn’t order my rosaryfrom Rugged Rosaries but I did just order a rosary bracelet from them. It’s made of dark wood Jujube beads and I’m having them add a bronze Miraculous Medal.

I’ve changed my mind. I liked the Hail Mary beads on this rosary from Rugged Rosaries a lot but decided to have one made by the Carmelite Sisters because I was unsure about the Our Father beads on the RR rosary; I could customize the Carmelite rosary; and lastly, I wanted to give the Sisters my business.
The more I look at the picture of the RR rosary, the more I’m drawn to it so I canceled my order with the Sisters and they told me they will give me a refund.
Bonus: I’m saving about $200. $200+ was far more than I’d planned to spend.
