Hello my pals!!

With all the bad stuff that is going on in the world, I wanted to share with you funny things my kids said yesterday and today…

My four year old Wyatt: “Mommy did the Easter bunny visit Jesus when he was a kid?”

My seven year old Bill: “Mom, we had writing workshop at school today. The theme was , What kids want every president to know/do. So I told her every President should speak Latin”…

My Seven year old Bill: “Mommy I am so excited. We have mass today and father said that he will let the 1st grader touch the Chalice and the Holy communion container.”

Do you guys have any funny kid stories?

Love ya,
Jill

My friends two daughters, 6 & 8.

Hannah (6): What’s that word you can’t say in Lent?

Lily (8): Alleluia

Hannah: Ha ha, made you say it!

Given your current health issues JillianRose, I applaud your attitude. Humor is always a great way to enjoy our days, but kid humor is the best! Still praying for your stomach.

Aidan my 5 yr old: Will not call Mary…Mary, but instead Jesus’ momma.

Brady my 3 yr old: Did Jesus have to eat his peas too?

Aidan: I am going to be a baseball play for the Red Sox and their priest

Aidan: Daddy that lady does not sing good. Tell her Jesus still loves her

Brady: Was Jesus a superhero

Another story:

Daughter (8 years old): I sleep with mommy tonight!
Daddy: No, you sleep with your little brother (3 years old). I sleep with her.
Daughter: But she is my mommy. If you sleep with her, you sin and you have to go to confession.
Daddy: What sin? She is my wife!
Daughter: Yes, you sin according to the preaching of the parish priest!
Daddy: When did he say that? I have never heard of it.
Daughter: Yes, the priest always told us (kids in the church) that we sin if we don’t share toys with our friends. He also said that the olders should give up toys to the youngers. This means that you sin because you are older than me and you don’t want to neither share nor give up mommy to me!

Here is one I heard just this morning.

My two and a half year old has a stuffed mickey mouse that she LOVES. I heard her in the other room with him this morning, and this is what she said. I’ll try to write it out phonetically. 🙂

“No Mickey, like this. In the Pahdder, the Son, the Wooly Spirit Amen. Our pahdder :mumble mumble: heaven, :mumble: thy name… :mumble mumble: come, :mumble mumble: done… um… Mickey, listen. Give us our bread, and :mumble mumble: trefpaffes, and… Amen! Lord hear our prayer!”

There were a few unintelligible parts, but I love that she was teaching Mickey how to pray the Lord’s prayer!

Smart girl! 👍

My 4yo calls out for Padre Pio when she is scared. It’s cute that she can find comfort in our beloved saint. I am going to make her a rag doll in Padre’s likness. Just wish my sewing skills were better, ha!

Very cute. I taught my oldest how to do the sign of the cross as “head, belly, shoulder, shoulder.” He was learning body parts and I figured I could accomplish two things at once. My wife warned me, but I knew best lol.

While sitting in Mass one Sunday…Fr gave his blessing and said “In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” We were seated on the second row and my son says “No Fadder it is Head, Bellwy, Choulder, Choulder”

My friend’s daughter, age 7, announced on Ash Wednesday that she had given up cleaning her room for Lent. When my friend told her that we ought to sacrifice for Lent things that we enjoy, rather than things we don’t like anyway, she very seriously said: “But Mommy, I love cleaning my room, so I shouldn’t do it during Lent.”

Awe, that is a wonderful idea! I always loved Padre Pio, so Holy, and yet so down to earth. 👍

Very clever girl, lol…

My four year old son used to catapult him self out of the tub every time I open the drain. I asked him why and he said. It’s that song! Ba Ba Black sheep where they give wool

One for the Master one for Great Dane, and one for the little boy who goes down the drain!!!

I felt totally Blessed one day when I was teaching my 7 year old daughter about Mary. I told her I was imperfect, but that she also had a mom in Heaven who loved her. She thought about it for a minute than excalimed, “Wow! I have 3 mamas. You, who love me every day, forever, and ever. My Birthmom who loves me from far away, and my Mama Mary who loves me from Heaven!” Her face was a lit up and happy. :dancing:
