I don’t know anything about these, but I would never use the term “charm” in a Catholic context. The term has a distinctive superstitious, at best, or occultic, at worst, implication.
It also has a meaning in jewelry. Charm bracelets are something timeless, a way of marking memories or events. Charm holders for pendants are another jewelry staple.
Don’t worry about it. We know what a “charm” is in this context.
Much like I know that “Magic Rocks” novelty and “Magic Shell” chocolate topping are not magical in the occult sense.
Oh! Thanks for posting this! I’ve been trying to figure out what to get my oldest for her First Communion but she doesn’t wear jewelry. I had forgotten about these but they’re perfect!
Love these! My Catholic high school introduced houses (think a Harry Potter) and I’m dean of Drexel house named after Katharine Drexel (whose feast is today!). I got these for my captains and officers. My granddaughter who was just born is named after St Gianna - I need to order some for her parents.
If you sign up for their mailing list, they have frequent discounts. I’m waiting to place my next big order.
I’m impressed that they have some fairly obscure saints, as well as lots of people “on the path” to sainthood. Pretty cool that they have Blessed Stanley Rother, Servant of God Fr. Kapaun, and of course Venerable Fulton Sheen.
And they actually have at least one saint I’ve never heard of. Now that’s obscure! I spend a lot of time looking up saints so I usually know all the ones that would be commercially offered.
