Dad in intensive care

hi,
please pray for my dad , his name is Ed he is 78 years old in a Catholic hospital . a very devout religious man, daily mass, fasted 3x week for over 10 years, did not drink, prayed his prayers about 2 hours a night. very sick in intensive care, lost a lot of blood, kidney failure, pneumonia, ulcers and bleeding, stable but not awake , please pray he will be healed it was all so sudden, thanks
 
I will keep you and your father in my prayers, it would be good if you or someone else would pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Holy Rosary in his presence. (Have you called his Pastor to give him the Annointing of the Sick? It is a great grace to have Jesus help him through his sufferings.)

Your Dad sounds like a wonderful man and a very prayerful person. I’m sure that the Lord is by Dad’s side, as he so belongs to Him and he has lived his life in prayer. You are so blessed to have such a prayerful father. I praise God for him.
I am sorry he is so sick, and so suddenly. Please God he will be alright. May God ensure that he has the best care.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus name, please fulfil everything You wish in and through this precious man, and please grant the prayers that he has so faithfully prayed for his family and for all others.

My father had very similar conditions, although he is 43. He had double pnumonia in both lungs and a fungus impeding him from being with us and it kept him in a hospital sedated for a month. Luckily I had many wonderful people to help pray. One thing that came out of it though was we determined he was diabetic. God works in mysterious ways. One bit of advice I can try to offer to you is this, pray pray pray. God rewards prayer. You are filling the bowl up in revelation with prayer. And if you have faith and trust God, that bowl will spill and your prayers will be answered. I understand what you are going through and I will pray for him every day.

p.s. if it turns grim, you may want to think about the anointing of the sick.
 
Your Dad is a true Angel…He sounds like the sort of person many of us wish we could be and strive hard to be. How lucky you have been blessed with such a father. God, please heal Ed. Please help his family during this difficult time and keep them free from anxiety. Your son Ed is a marvelous messenger of yours and needs your help. Surround him, the drs. and the nurses with your love and the skills to restore his health.

He is doing better and he is able to carry on a conversation, he still doesnt know a lot and is confused, but much, much better. He is doing dialysis, still has pneumonia, a mass in his lung is still possible cancer, but they say the kidney situation is still a high priority so they cannot test for that yet. I have been praying rosary, there is a priest there and I think he gave him sacrament of sick, he had confession also I think, and hopefully communion soon. It is a wonderful Catholic hospital.

Praise God! He is out of intensive care! That is a giant step forward. I will definately continue to pray for him.

Thanks for the prayers!! His kidneys and pneumonia is the main life threatening problem, they (doctors) are not worrying about cancer and cannot check for it as his kidneys are shut down completely. He is 78 and a mass in his lungs. He received communion again today, they have missed him other days, he was crying he wanted communion so bad, I am thankful he was able to receive today and watch Mass on tv (it was in the hospital chapel). He does okay and then not very well. Thanks for the prayers I really appreciate it. :signofcross::gopray2::angel1:
 
Still praying for your dad. It may be a good idea to let the chaplain at the hospital know that your Dad WANTS communion each day. Most parishes have outreach persons that distribute communion to the ones that do not have the ability to get to mass. You may want to ask the hospital chaplain if there is a way you can find out if he wont be getting it, and then call the parish. This is something that obviouslyw ill make your dad feel safe and strong. It is good for his emotional well being and is pleassing to the Lord as well. I pray that our God will lead the right people to your father each day to deliver communion to him and that he will touch your dad with his overwhelming power to heal. May the holy spirit fill your father with freeness of anxiety and fill him with the greatest gift of love.
