a self proclaimed, widely accepted Feminist Organization that is not radical.

I wonder if Feminists for Life might qualify as not radical in your estimation.
Here is their website:
feministsforlife.org/index.htm
It would help to have your definition of “radical feminism”.
What are its attributes? How might one recognize and identify it as such?
May God bless all men and women and children. Amen.

Not all feminists belong to an organisation, not all feminists are female.

Agreed.👍
And the scholarship of some self-identified feminists has been known to address the diversity of viewpoints that are often grouped under the title of feminism. bell hooks, for example, has about as much patience with second wave feminism as some of those criticizing feminism on this thread. The site I pointed to in the previous post names some well known feminists who predate second wave feminism and who were anti-abortion.
May God bless all men and women. Amen

Perhaps, in terms of what I saw of the site…
However then the site could equally be Christianists for life! 😉

What is the problem here is the vicious National Organization for Women, and radical feminists like Gloria Steinem, who said: “A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.” You know who preached fear? How about Betty Friedan, author of the horrible diatribe, The Feminine Mystique, who called the family “a comfortable concentration camp.” You want more?

These agents for change didn’t want to foster a greater understanding between men and women. They didn’t want to solve anything. What they wanted was class warfare. That’s why we have “women’s studies” at Universities because some idiotic radical wanted to scare women even more. And I’ve seen posts here that reflect that. And it all ended up with one guiding principle - women were ordered to become men, get out of the house, get a career, kids? dump those in day care, and dump the guy the moment he gets on your nerves OR PRACTICE JUST SEX like using a toilet (just watch any episode of Sex and the City).

So men? Sperm donors at best - useless for anything else.

Peace,
Ed
Yes! You are exactly correct! We** all** love positive feminists, that is feminists that wish to actually be productive, as opposed to being just another a Pro - Planned Parenthood, anti - male self interest and self promoting militant, to the detriment of others group.

Unfotunately methinks these unsavory Feminists are the** bulk** of the issue. Certainly they are the majority presented in the Media. One only has to attend the Walk for Life West Coast and then watch the Media to see of what I speak. The coverage is radically, disproportionally disparate.

Says what you want it to? No, but I shall be kind today and not argue with you.
It says what the link actually shows. Nuff said.

Pssssssssssttttttt… do your homwork and actually watch the link.

Hi Nimzovik, this is an interesting assertion.
Would you be willing to share some examples of positive, productive, feminists? I am especially interested in what you see as being produced by them. What are their positive attributes?
Thank you and may God bless you. Amen.

Indeed! What an interesting and challenging proposition!
Ufortunately, this topic is concernig Dads and I do not wish to hijack the thread.

Nimzovik;10213331:
Except that it is non-partisan and non-sectarian as noted in its “who joins us” page.
Please see feministsforlife.org/who/joinus.htm
Being non- Christian does not exclude one from membership.

Indeed! I stand corrected in that particular sense.

I do admire their Christlike sense of advocating for women to choose life instead of abortion, however.

Now… If we could only get equiavlent groups for men as well…

HI Nimzovik,
I apologize for my earlier post that was moving your thread into a new direction.:o
I appreciate your charitable correction.🙂
BrotherJReducation often posts on the Traditional Catholicism thread. He is a Franciscan and his group: Brothers of Life is doing work that I think you will really appreciate that is very supportive of fathers and fatherhood. I’m posting the “about us” link below.
franciscansoflife.org/AboutUs.html
Like feminists for life, there is strong support for the pre-born and it is also open to both genders. But I think you will be especially interested in its fatherhood work.
May God bless you and all fathers. Amen.

Here are some revealing statistics from the : U. S. Census Bureau. for those that wish a so- called non biased source.
see here: census.gov/prod/2009pubs/p60-237.pdf

Note this:

Mothers accounted for the majority of custodial parents (82.6 percent) while 17.4 percent were fathers, proportions statistically unchanged from 1994.7

From bottom of page 2

Can anybody really say there is not a favoritism of the legal system in favor of women?

From the Domestic Violence resource center:
see here dvrc-or.org/domestic/violence/resources/C61

Snippets from said source:

Surveys find that men and women assault one another and strike the first blow at approximately equal rates.
(Archer, J. (2000). Sex differences in aggression between heterosexual partners: A meta-analytic review. Psychological Bulletin, 126 (5), 651-680.

Nimzovik Comments:

Again. It is not about numbers or which sex initiates or perpetrate Domestic Violence. It is about the fact that Female violence perpetrated against Males needs to be addressed.

Men often fail to report Domestic Violence:

More snippets:

Domestic violence and male victims*
Due to cultural norms that require men to present a strong façade and that minimize female-perpetrated abuse (Mooney, 2000; Straus et al, 1997; Sorenson & Taylor, 2005), men are less likely to verbalize fear of any kind. (Dutton & Nicholls, 2005; Hines et al, in press)

Nimzovik Comments:

Yes. Men need to self advocate. For their rights. For Fatherhood.
Men need to involve themselves in National Men’s Rights Groups.

Need more reasons to join a National Fathers Rights Group? To protect ourselves from Feminists - that is a very large reason. Feminism is sexism. By virtue of it’s very title feminism is discriminatory. Below is a link of Feminist Hate Speech, IMHO. Some are quotes from famous politicians, Professors magazine editors and others. I caution the reader tho- some of the quotes include rather unsavory language and for those faint of heart or very sensitive, I would advise foregoing the links.

see here as well:

Not all Feminists are like that, you say? See here;

youtube.com/watch?v=AQWoNhrY_fM&playnext=1&list=PLBFC5B7FDCE3993CC

What more can be said?

This just highlights my point. **Where **is the Church’s counterpoint to this issue? Ahmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???

Why is there no mention on the part of the Church of men’s right to not be a punching bag?:confused::confused:

Truly the Men’s Rights Groups has it’s work cut out for it.

See here youtube.com/watch?v=LlFAd4YdQks

Just count the number of times the women said in the above video **'He must have deserved it" **

What more can I say?

To fight for Men’s rights does not equate to denying women their rights.

Thankyou for this oppurtunity to elevate the Social Consciousness of Men’s issues.
