I hope the mods shut this thread down. There is no discussion here, just inflammatory post after inflammatory post and egregious statements about women, feminists, and families. There has been no respect shown, no academic discussion about feminism (purpose, meaning, movements within the huge umbrella that the word encompasses, etc.) and every time the thread dies the OP tries to revive it with more irrelevant YouTube links.

This doesn’t belong in the family life section, if it belongs on CAF at all.

Au contraire.

Simply because the thread does not always conform to the inured paradigm as propagated by the media does not mean that meaningful communication has not been presented. Indeed, much counterpoint has been… academically presented IMHO. That is, - evidence for both sides of the coin has truly been thrust into the arena of ideas.

Indeed, I am simply compelled to assert that to insist on the contrary is tantamount to an endeavor to stifle dialogue :bigyikes: which is one of the* issues of contention* presented by Male Rights Movement.

It is the function of a Forum to discuss openly that which people desire to discuss - yes? If people did not *need *to discuss this particular issue, the thread would have died already. Simple really.

It is such a dominant, prevalent attitude of today’s society to insist that mysandry does not exist. And… if Mysandry … then the ripple effect of Dad’s Denied becomes manifest.

Such* needs* to be addressed.

Here are some revealing statistics from the : U. S. Census Bureau. for those that wish a so- called non biased source.
see here: census.gov/prod/2009pubs/p60-237.pdf

Note this:

Mothers accounted for the majority of custodial parents (82.6 percent) while 17.4 percent were fathers, proportions statistically unchanged from 1994.7

From bottom of page 2

Can anybody really say there is not a favoritism of the legal system in favor of women?
Nimzovik Responds:

Hmmmmmmmmmm… It does **indeed **appear people need to discuss the issue of Men’s Rights in a meaningful way as the thread **continues **to recieve more and more attention. That obvious fact aside, lets address the post above, post #83.

In view of this glaring statistic (see above quote) by an **unbiased source, the U. S. Census Bureau, (as opposed to the feminist author source quoted in the post just previous, post #83) it would seem indeed that males are being discriminated against in terms of child custody, and by extension the courts. Yes?

How can this be denied? 🤷

See here regarding Barry Nolan, the Feminst author of the article indicated in the just previous post. avoiceformen.com/misandry/barry-nolan-boston-magazines-tv-critic-and-gender-expert/

Thankyou for this oppurtunity to elevate Social Consciousness regarding Male Rights.

What’s behind the Men’s Rights Movement.
Walking Home:

I read the first page of the link and found no compelling argument that the Men’s Rights Movement is necessarily a bad thing. Are you of that opinion?
