Dad's having surgery tomorrow

Hello 🙂

Please pray for my father, who is having one of his knees replaced tomorrow. Both knees are worn out to the point where he can barely walk. If tomorrow’s operation goes well, he will have surgery to replace the other knee by the end of this year.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

O Mother, see to it that this father goes through surgery expeditiously and without trouble. Ask your Son to stretch forth his healing hand to make for a speedy recovery. Amen.
 
Praying that the surgery goes well and helps your dad …
 
Jesus please be with this loved Dad as he faces this ordeal.
Guide the surgeon to his best efforts and ensure that all goes brilliantly.
Please help Dad in his recovery, minimizing his pain and helping him in his rehabilitation.
Help him to deepen his spiritual life with You as he recovers and enjoys new mobility and comfort.

Thank You, Jesus.

Lord be with the surgeons tomorrow as they work on this father and bless the surgery done. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. The surgery went well and Dad is now recovering. I don’t know how long it will be before he goes home, but considering he was back to his old self a mere 4-5 hours after the surgery was over - Mom said that just before she went home he was kicking up a fuss about the TV not working in his room 😃 - I think on the whole the operation has been successful so far!

I feel bad that I can’t be physically present for Mom and Dad (I live halfway around the planet from them) but I can pray, and pray I do. My most sincere gratitude to those who also prayed for Dad and for his surgeons. God bless you all :cool:
