Daily Lenten Prayer for March 15, 2009
Opening Prayer: Father, You have taught us to overcome our sins by prayer, fasting and works of mercy. When we are discouraged by our weakness, give us confidence in Your love. Amen.
Scripture Readings: Exodus 20:1-17 1 Corinthians 1:22-25 John 2:13-25
Meditation: In today’s Gospel story Jesus promises us water from the wellspring of eternal life. Do I partake of this wellspring by spending time in prayer each day?
Closing Prayer: Lord, may we receive Your forgiveness and be brought together in unity and peace. Amen.
